It's not the time to be issuing Tasers
Recent calls to issue all police officers with Tasers by a member of the Police Federation ought to be resisted. Already we have seen some dire consequences caused by the unnecessary use of a police Taser gun. If here in the UK we routinely arm our police criminals will ‘ tool up’ accordingly. Do we really want to end up with a police force akin to that in Los Angeles and with the pro rata body count to match?
