While I understand the importance of road safety I feel that the introduction of the flower boxes that now adorn Viaduct Road is an accident waiting to happen.

There is already a 20mph restriction in force. The boxes effectively reduce the road to a single lane.

I do feel that both cyclists and car drivers are now put more at risk of an accident on this road.

If anything a cycle lane would have been more appropriate. This is a major entry point to the city for both residents and visitors.

Why introduce more congestion on our city roads? Poor judgement by our council. The money could have been better used. Get rid.
