I read in the Argus, March 20, that plans have been passed to change the Valley Gardens.

The gardens were once the pride and joy of Brighton. They welcomed visitors and residents alike with beautiful flowers.

The once famous parks and gardens department worked hard in producing thousands of lovely flowers to thrill the public.

Now there is no need to say any more about it. The same applies to the London Road side of Preston Park with their lovely gardens.

Then there is the discussion about the Mazda Fountain.

I don’t think this Green Council can ruin Brighton any more than they have.

Will the Mazda fountain go? Possibly. The local public have got to fight this and save it.

Thank goodness there are elections on May 7. Please get them out before Brighton ends up as a third world city.

The residents must vote against the Green Party, although it isn’t necessarily the residents, but the University students who are being misguided to vote for the Greens thinking they will be good for the city. They then leave university and leave Brighton and Hove to its fate, under them.

Just think of the changes to the city since the Greens took over What are the good points? It is very hard to name one good.

I hope the Argus continues to report the council’s decisionsso the public are aware of exactly what is going on. They are the only voice who will tell us – honestly.
