They didn’t consult
Gatwick Airport say they ‘regularly engaged with... community groups and representatives’ (Gatwick appoints runway builder, Argus, April 8).
But I say this is propaganda nonsense.
Gatwick Infrastructure Partners-Gatwick Airport Limited (GIP-GAL) – the airport’s American owners – have NOT ‘engaged with community groups and representatives’ at all, regarding the demolition of Lowfield Heath Church, a listed building built by the famous Victorian architect William Burges, with its magnificent rose window and little dog.
