I am disgusted with the lack of sympathy and slap-dash attitude to providing a temporary service to the residents of Heathfield following the closure of the post office.

The old and the disabled find it difficult to travel to locations outside of Heathfield.

Many rely on their pensions being paid in cash – the elderly often distrust the bank.

We have now had closure since April 1 – a genuine April Fool!

Some provision should have been made to accommodate the public in a temporary situation.

The Post Office has totally failed the people of Heathfield.
