A TEAM of scientists from the University of Illinois found that daytime temperatures behind wind turbines on land can be as much as 4 degrees centigrade lower.

Now that we are going to have 116 turbines in the sea off of Brighton, one wonders what effect this might have on the temperatures on our summer beaches. Will it be warmer? Will it be colder?

Will it be windier? I believe I am right in saying that research into the effects in this country are only in their early stages. Perhaps the experts would like to tell us what we can expect.
