I was horrified to learn that the day before Easter the prices for the rides on the Palace Pier were doubled.
I timed the rides: the Sizzler Twist worked out at £1.50 a minute and the Waltzer at £1.20 per minute.
What a rip-off and one which is very discouraging for visitors to Brighton.
It is possible to buy a bracelet allowing unlimited rides for £20 but this makes an outing expensive and beyond the reach of many families.
I shall not return there when my grandchildren next come to the city.
