I FEEL I should express my disappointment with Marks & Spencer regarding the wonderful ornate clock that hangs on the front of the Worthing store in Montague Street.
I’ve noticed both east and west faces tell a different time and are nowhere near correct.
It is the only clock visible for members of the public in Montague Street and was the reason for me being late for my dentist appointment recently which subsequently resulted in a small fine.
It’s been incorrect for some time now and, having spoken to a member of staff, I was told that due to cuts within the company she thought it unlikely it would be repaired, going as far to say that perhaps it may be removed completely due to maintenance costs.
I have written to the store manager to complain and ask for reimbursement of the dentist’s fine but have not currently had a reply.
It is my belief that if a clock is to be displayed then it should work correctly.
Perhaps others who feel the same can also contact the store to show their frustrations?
