I WONDER how this shambolic excuse for a government would react if a terrorist organisation threatened our water supplies?

I have no doubt that the country would be placed into “ a state of emergency”, and it would be shut down immediately.

Yet, they are quite happy to facilitate this outcome, by virtue of fracking. After all, it is a well-established fact that this madness does affect the environment in a negative way.

The fact that North Yorkshire council has granted a fracking licence, to another foreign corporation, in Ryedale shows how much disregard HM Gov UK plc shows for the common people of this country.

Indeed, North Yorkshire police have already stated that they will: “crack down on any law-breaking on demonstrations” that arise as a result of this undemocratic decision.

I wonder what the viewpoint of Sussex Police is on this. After all, Balcombe alone cost us £4 million, so how much will need to be spent on trying to police multiple demonstrations?

For that is, I suggest, a massive problem for Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne to solve.

I really feel for the people of Ryedale, as they are still sorting out the mess caused by winter floods.

The real tragedy here, however, is the fact that insurance companies are refusing to pay for any damage (caused by floodwater), to property owners whose buildings fall within a five mile radius of the site there.

So, as this malevolence spreads across our beautiful country, just bear in mind the fact that David Cameron has already sold any, and all, gas extracted from under our feet to the Chinese.

So who will pay for the inevitable clean up operation that will follow the frackers?

Is now not the time we banned this ridiculous practice, at least until we can have a national referendum on the subject?

Equally, now is the right time to demand that the government re-nationalises, and legislates to protect our water.
