I FEEL so sorry for the vicar from Southwick having all the charity money stolen from her in Sainsbury’s (The Argus, February 21).

But why did it take nearly four weeks for the authorities to let the public know about the robbery?

If they had published it within a few days, it might have jerked somebody’s mind and the people who robbed her might be in jail.

But to wait nearly four weeks the money would have been spent abroad or exchanged.

When a lot of crimes are committed these days why does it take so long to let the general public know?

The authorities need to get on the ball quicker.
