City council leader Warren Morgan admits there is a problem with the student accommodation on our estates - We are working together (March 20) and thinks it unfair to for us to complain.

But has the council tried to look at the problems that their money-making schemes are having on these estates? No, they only look at what impact they have on the city centre.

Has he heard the unruly noise these students make coming home at 4.30am?

These students live in houses and each of them has a car which creates problems with the parking.

So when is the council going to solve these problems by building new accommodation?

There will be no change, because these houses with the students will still be there.

This is because there will be more room for more students to make more money for the universities.

And even bigger headaches for the residents on these estates.

It is another sticking plaster solution by an out-of-touch council which will not talk with the residents to try to solve the problems that we are having.

When the football was at Withdean the parking control was very stringent but then there were only 6,000 supporters and the council put a lot of effort into that.

Was this because there were many councillors and influential residents in that area? We now have a gate of 30,000 supporters and the parking problems are increasing. So when are you going to do something about that?

You have now pushed your parking restriction on to the Hanover estates which will push the parking problem into Bevendean and Moulsecoomb. We have enough parking problems of our own.

The university charges big rates for their car parks so students park in Moulsecoomb, causing more headaches for the residents.

So are you really working out the problem or are you creating the problem?

The gardens of these student properties are also a mess with huge amounts of rubbish left out out to allow the seagulls, foxes and cats to scatter mess everywhere.

So is it unfair of us to complain?

The Labour party has always said they are for the working classes but this Labour council really is showing it is for no one.
