PHOTOGRAPHS of nuns attending a charity dog racing event and a history of Brighton’s swimming pools are the order of the day.

The greyhound stadium is still in the Nevill Road, Hove, and is owned the Gala Coral Group.

Do you remember attending the Dogs For Charity event in 1989?

Perhaps you know who the man is or the nuns he is with?

The event was one of the many fundraising days that have been held over the years at the popular stadium. Let us know if you have any special memories of other charity events held there.

Another nun, Sister Lina, is pictured at the French Convalescent Home in Arundel Road, Brighton.

We don’t know whether this was the home of the other nuns pictured at the charity dog racing event.

Brighton greyhound Ballyregan Bob, trained by George Curtis ,became a household name after breaking the world record in 1986 by winning 32 consecutive races.

One year later, the stadium became the last course in Britain to remove its turf surface to become an all-sand track.

In 1989, Gerard Kealey was replaced by Peter Shotton as general manager.

Our other pictures are all of swimming pools.

The Prince Regent complex in Brighton is still open to the public today.

It replaced the old building known as North Road Swimming Baths in the 1980s after the name was chosen through a competition.

The old baths can be traced back to Victorian times.

Do you remember what it was like there before the refurbishment?

St Luke’s is still operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Brighton and Hove City Council.

Do you know when this swimming pool was built?
