A teacher's talents have been recognised with a national award.

Graham Goldup, assistant headteacher at Cardinal Newman Catholic School in Hove, received The Royal Geographical Society Ordnance Survey Award for excellence in teaching at secondary school level.

Headteacher Malvina Sanders said: “We are very proud of Mr Goldup’s achievement and delighted his energy, commitment and achievements have been recognised at a national level.”
