Brown signs contract extention
2:11pm Wednesday 31st October 2012 in Sport By Steve Hollis
Wicketkeeper Ben Brown has committed his future to Sussex after signing a new deal which will keep him at Hove until the end of the 2014 season.
Brown established himself as the first choice keeper when Matt Prior is unavailable last season after winning his battle for the gloves with Andrew Hodd - who has since moved to Yorkshire.
The 23-year-old from Crawley featured in 14 of Sussex's 16 Championship games as well as ten appearances in the CB40 and five in the FL T20.
Brown said: “I’m really privileged to have signed for my home county for the next two years.
“I’m determined to be a major part of the club’s future and I’m also hopeful that I can help us to win trophies across the next couple of seasons.”
