Albion throw it away at the death
5:22pm Saturday 10th November 2012 in Sport By Brian Owen
Albion suffered bitter disappointment as they were held to a 3-3 draw by ten-man Wolves at Molineux.
Stephen Dobbie probably thought he had won the game when he fired home an 89th minute penalty.
But big defender Roger Johnson rumbled forward in added time to head home Bakary Sako’s free-kick.
Albion twice came from behind against a Wolves side reduced to ten men for Karl Henry’s dangerous challenge on Liam Bridcutt right on half-time.
That straight red card came moments after Craig Mackail-Smith had expertly swept home a low cross from Bruno to wipe out Sako’s slickly worked opener.
Albion squandered great chances after the break and were punished as substitute Tongo Doumbia, sent on to provide midfield steel in the absence of Henry, was sent through to score.
Will Buckley came off the bench to fire Albion level again after Liam Bridcutt launched a counter raid.

If bridge is out for a week or two, does painter come in? Or Calderon keep his place ? El ABd still injured? Means we have little cover at the back.
So many times we struggle to put games to bed.

- We scored 3 goals, so hopefully our goal drought has ended.
- CMS & Dobbie scored, which particularly for CMS is extremely important.
- WE ARE ONLY 3 POINTS OF THE PLAYOFFS AND HAVE GOT ONE OF OUT HARDEST GAMES OUT THE WAY.

We got three points at home in the week with a dominant performance, and an away point today against a team fielding 6 players that were in the Premier Lge last season.
So,2 points per game it is, after what has been a bad run of late. I'll take that for sure.
If we keep that up we'll be looking at 18 more points by Dec 31st, and in good shape for the new year with approx 42 points on the board, which incidentaly would be a great improvement on last years 32 points by Dec 31st.
PS - Reading only had 39 points in the bag by Dec 31st last season, and we know what happened after that.
If Gus could make his mind up about who starts games and who doesn't we'll just keep getting more consistent.
Tough one now away at Huddersfield, a point will be good there, and a nice home win against Bolton. We're well placed, don't panic, 2 points per game and stable blood pressure.

I wouldn't get too despondent, we needed to get back on a 2points per game track more than anything else.

We are not unlucky, we are not winning because we are not good enough. A poor result !!
Lets not be typical Brighton fans at the moment, because all in all it was a fantastic point. Yes you can start complaining about heinsite, but I would have bit your hand of for a point at the start of the day.

Great game for the neutral or in Freeloaders case, the Neutered.
Good will come from it I am sure, and it is good to hear of Gus's frustration. I would be more worried if he wasn't.
Great goal from CMS, Dobbie great penalty and Buckley his usual self.
That’s football for you and this is what we signed up for.

Remember the team selection at WHU last season - and the performance - we still had a chance of the play offs then!
Just listen to the interview Gus gave to Radio Sussex after the game. I'm not sure that he can take the heat if things started to go a bit pear shaped and remember we have about 16,000 home supporters who have not been thru the Withdean and Priestfield mill!
That lot might be much quicker to turn than the die hards. I hope I'm wrong but it feels like it may not be the 'happy ship' that it seems as Gus seems very 'touchy' - and his comments re Glenn Murray transfer to Palace just didn't ring true.
You can fool some of us all of the time - and all of us some of the time - but you can't fool all of us all of the time.

We didn't beat 10 men, not good.
Bridge off injured not good.
A point away from home against a decent side, is good.
Conceding in the last minute not good.
Three points off play off place is good.
All in all a day of mixed blessings but I'll take the away point as positive.

Comes on here saying don’t get upset guys when no one is upset.
Trying to poke us with the West Ham result last season.
Saying that the 16,000 newer and younger fans will walk away from the club.
Suggesting it’s not a happy ship.
Implying that the Glenn Murray move was not amicable.
Saying that Gus is fooling us.
Smells of Troll all over.
