Gus Poyet has gagged himself from discussing Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha – out of respect to rival manager Ian Holloway.

Poyet claimed in The Argus recently that Albion’s in-form winger Will Buckley is better than England newcomer Zaha.

The Uruguayan was accused by Zaha of talking nonsense and Poyet has refrained from further comment in a sarcastic swipe at Palace boss Holloway ahead of tomorrow’s derby at Selhurst Park.

Holloway has hit out at Arsene Wenger after the Arsenal chief spoke about Zaha.

Poyet said: “I saw Mister Holloway very upset with other people talking about Zaha. Apparently it’s a new rule, so because it’s his rule I am going to respect it and I’m not going to talk about Zaha.

“I thought comment, good things about a player, were nice for football and the player himself but apparently not, you cannot talk about his players, so I will not talk about his players. I hope he doesn’t talk about ours.”
