Panesar in the wickets as England edge day one
Monty Panesar took two key wickets as England gained a slender advantage on the opening day of the third Test in Kolkata.
The Sussex spinner bowled India's in-form batsman Cheteshwar Pujara for 16 before having opener Gautam Gambhir caught by Jonathan Trott for 60 as he finished the day with figures of 2-74.
James Anderson also took 3-68 as England reduced India to 136-4 after the home side had won the toss.
Sachin Tendulkar led India's revival as he scored 76 before he fell to a superb catch by Sussex's Matt Prior off the bowling of Anderson.
