Mark Davis continues to prove life begins at 40 after John Higgins' conqueror marched into the semi-finals of the UK Championship.
The world no.16 from St Leonards defeated 2003 champion Matthew Stevens at the Barbican in York last night, continuing his fine 2012 as he reached his third ranking event semi-final of the season.
Davis, a thrilling 6-5 victor over world no.3 Higgins in the previous round, will now face Mark Selby in tomorrow's second last-four clash.
