Albion Stoked out of FA Youth Cup
8:47pm Tuesday 11th December 2012 in Sport By Andy Naylor
Elliot Levy on the ball for Albion
Albion were brushed aside by Premier League Stoke City in the FA Youth Cup at The Amex tonight.
Simon Rusk's youngsters were beaten 4-0 in the third round tie, the visitors striking twice in each half.
Jack Nardiello opened the scoring for Stoke in the 13th minute. The left winger then doubled their lead (34) after Elliot Levy had twice threatened an equaliser for the Seagulls.
Cameron Wiltshire went close to pulling a goal back from long range for Albion early in the second half before James Alabi bulldozered past a challenge to slot Stoke further ahead on 56 minutes.
Kristian Scott grabbed an eyecatching fourth for the visitors three minutes later. He won possession in midfield and beat keeper Luke Colquhoun with a 35-yard chip in off the crossbar.

sea,or even MKD and said give our kids a free run in life what would we here?I think Simon jordon did touch on this 2 or 3 years ago when in charge at palace.Be honest mark would Oatway even get a job at QPR,let alone his son.All these guys you & me have watched move on from the club over the years like Hinsh,Booker,& White never moved onto better things like we said years ago.I know people that drive up & down the country watching players every week for clubs.Like they say give Oatway a job at stand up,but not working with young players everyday.Like im sure you know mark players like Vicente can change a season in five games, but the Rodgers,Oatway jr,Barkers,& JFC never will im sure. There are guys their age been doing it the prem-league for years. On top of this players like Dobbie,Harley,& Hoskins really look a waste of money,or Poyet is not getting the best out of them?Hoskins was big trouble at Watford & Forest he only played at contract time.Anyway mark like to know what you think. The rest will be your a palace fan,or some stupid coment.Look forward to your post mark.

Your also right about me commenting on the former youth set up , and coaching staff,
I don't have problem with Forster caskey, he will make it in league football, at what level, who knows.
The club signing oatway however from a pub team, does smack of mates club. The academy won't be allowed by the FA to permit coaching by non qualified coaching staff... And hopefully TB will ensure he gets his monies worth. Club are rapidly moving in right direction, remember 3 years ago we had white, booker and hInsh calling the shots, once the academy is built things will step up.
I would be happy seeing Vicente for 5 minutes, let alone 5 games.
Please remember these lads are trying there best, and hopefully today the penny will drop , they need to work as hard as they can to improve.

They were the very first club I was taken to watch against Albion Reserves back in the late 50's at the Goldstone. They won 2-0 and ever since then it seems that they mostly seem to get the upper hand against us.
I also watched an evening match at the Victoia ground in Stoke when they beat a Manchester United side that were sliding their way to relegation in the 70's.
I still don't like 'em!

Despite the massive investment, BHA are some distance away from the Stoke despite us being in the Greed league for only 5 years. Keep up the excellent work at the Amex, the staduim is a delight.
