Albion were brushed aside by Premier League Stoke City in the FA Youth Cup at The Amex tonight.

Simon Rusk's youngsters were beaten 4-0 in the third round tie, the visitors striking twice in each half.

Jack Nardiello opened the scoring for Stoke in the 13th minute. The left winger then doubled their lead (34) after Elliot Levy had twice threatened an equaliser for the Seagulls.

Cameron Wiltshire went close to pulling a goal back from long range for Albion early in the second half before James Alabi bulldozered past a challenge to slot Stoke further ahead on 56 minutes.

Kristian Scott grabbed an eyecatching fourth for the visitors three minutes later. He won possession in midfield and beat keeper Luke Colquhoun with a 35-yard chip in off the crossbar.
