Eastbourne boss Trevor Geer reckons his side could have the best reserve pairing in the Elite League.

Eagles have confirmed they are bringing back Denis Gizatullin and Lukas Dryml to start at the bottom of the order in the new season.

They join Bjarne Pedersen, Adam Shields and skipper Cameron Woodward as confirmed members of the 2013 line-up.

Dryml, the spectacular but inconsistent Czech racer, is on board for a fifth season on loan from Peterborough while Russian international Gizatullin will tackle his second campaign in this country.

Geer said: “With those two we should have the strongest reserves in the league. They are both very popular with the supporters.

“Lukas on his day can beat anyone around Arlington and I think we will see the best of Denis now he knows what England is all about.”

Eagles expect to release their fixture list later this month.

Fans are invited to get a first view of the team out on the shale on Saturday, March 16 (12.45pm) when practice day is held at Arlington ahead of the new campaign.

Meanwhile members of the Eastbourne management will be happy to answer questions from supporters at a big event in the town this weekend. The club are supporting the Shaw Harley-Davidson’s January party at the Winter Garden theatre on Sunday (10am-5pm).

On show will be a 2013 speedway bike plus one of multi-world champion Ivan Mauger’s 1972 machines.
