Vicente has moved a stage closer to his Albion comeback.
The Spanish playmaker resumed training with the first team squad yesterday.
Depending on how he reacts he could be in contention for a place on the bench against Derby County at The Amex on Saturday.
Manager Gus Poyet revealed to The Argus: “He trained with us for the first time after training all last week with the development squad.
“He looked all right, normal. I don’t know how his body is going to react. As you can imagine, the intensity of training with the kids is totally different to the intensity with us.
“Tuesday is usually a very hard day so we changed it slightly because of him. The first part was nice and steady, the last part quite hard, so he is going to feel it for sure. We’ll see how he reacts.”
Thigh trouble has restricted Vicente to one brief Championship appearance as a substitute so far this season, against Cardiff back in August.
