Leonardo Ulloa has been handed a "dream start" to his Albion career against Arsenal in the FA Cup in front of a record crowd at The Amex.

The Seagulls' new Argentinian target man will make his debut in today's fourth round tie after the club finally received international clearance yesterday.

Ulloa will play a part, either from the kick-off or as a substitute, following his recent £2 million move from Spanish club Almeria.

The 26-year-old took part in the warm-up for last Saturday's Championship match at Birmingham and at Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday but could not play due to the delay in securing international clearance.

Boss Gus Poyet says Ulloa launching his career at home against Premier League opposition in front of over 27,000, after 500 extra tickets for Albion fans were snapped up in 40 minutes yesterday morning, has worked out well.

He told The Argus: "Yes, of course, if you analyse it now, no doubt it is a dream start. To play at home against Arsenal there is no better way. Let's hope that everything goes alright, that it is a normal game, nothing strange. We'll see when we use him, from the beginning or after.

"I'm happy to get it done. I don't want to look back now, I want to look forward. He is our player and we are looking forward to using him the right way to try to produce what we are expecting him to produce."

Free-scoring Ulloa, known as 'The Cyclone', will be blowing away the cobwebs after falling out of favour at Almeria this season but Poyet does not expect the Gunners to be caught out by his inclusion. "There shouldn't be any surprises for Arsenal," he said. "They play at the highest level, so I don't think it will be an issue."

Bruno (Achilles) and Andrew Crofts (hamstring) are confirmed absentees but Poyet otherwise has a full squad to choose from.
