Albion chase first Hillsborough win
10:00am Saturday 2nd February 2013 in Sport By Brian Owen
Colin Kazim-Richards starts the celebrations after his last-gasp leveller at Hillsborough in 2005
Albion have never won at Hillsborough.
They are making their 13th visit to the famous home of Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.
Wednesday have won six of their previous 12 meetings in South Yorkshire, most recently when Giles Coke rounded off a fine move to secure a 1-0 win in August 2010.
Colin Kazim-Richards headed a stoppage-time leveller in 2005-06 but both clubs were eventually relegated from the Championship.

We cant just think we have a chance and hope that things come off.
We have to know that we are the better team and take that on to the pitch... we need to have that air of invincibility... not a cocky attitude but one that says we are Brighton and we are here to beat you.
Should any of the players need help in this area then i think a quick look around the dressing room should do it. Imagine sitting there looking at your team mates and seeing the likes of Upson, Kuz, Bridge and Vicente to name but a few, it would inspire me.
It is all about us chaps, know you are the best team and you will win.
We have a squad up there with the best of them in this division now so lets prove it.
Heres to breaking the Hillsborough duck today

It will be a good time to break our duck today. Gus, please play CMS and Ulloa up front from the start and 3 points will be ours.

SMf 20---I think you have hit the nail on the head. Much of the way football is played is in the head. I wonder if Albion have someone who gives the players some 'Positive Mental therapy' Amazing how this can work--it did when I worked!! Motivational talking can make all the difference. Albion are much better than many teams but fail to deliver, IMO, because of attitude and belief. Get a win today Albion and this could be the start of the drive for promotion UTA!!!!!!
Im so excited about today , i think good things are just around the corner for us ... Now that is positive ! lol GG

The starting line up against Arsenal would seem right to me with Upson replacing Greer. Barnes was, in many people's eyes, the MOM against Arsenal no way would I take him out.

I just hope that Bucks plays today, good luck to MU,i think him and WB will be brilliant playing alongside each other, the Albion to win by two clear goals. UTA
GosportGull I really can't agree with you when you call for Barnes to be on the bench, he is on the top of his game right now, scoring goals and setting them up, why drop him?

Upson in for Greer. Haven't heard how Buckley is. Would be surprised to see him starting unless he is 100%. If Vicente is fit, I'd start him everytime, ideally as the attacking central midfielder but I think he is more likely to start out wide. If he isn't fit, Orlandi.
Kuszczak, Calderon/Bruno, El Abd, Upson, Bridge, Bridcutt, Hammond, Vicente/Orlandi, Barnes, Spanish Dave, Ulloa.

This is a big day today, for me a win is on the cards, but I do have respect for Wednesday, don't think it will be as easy as it was at home.
3 points from this game, again for me, is a must.
Three matches, possibly, for Upson to impress, you never know, Greer might find it hard to get his place back. Could we see Bruno play today?
