4:57pm
Calderon had a header touched over by Kirkland in added time as he got on the end of a David Lopez cross.
4:56pm
Lita departed to a standing ovation in added time, replaced by Semedo.
4:53pm
Not much to recommend this afternoon for #bhafc. The key moment was Barnes' red and poor defending from resulting free-kick.
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
4:52pm
FT Whitehawk 3 Lewes 1. Right result on balance of play but credit to Lewes for making it hard for the Hawks, particularly with ten men.
— @HowardGriggs 02 February 2013
4:45pm
Madine replaced Helan in the 83rd minute.
4:45pm
Kuszczak, not having his most comfortable of afternoons, dived to his right to hold a bouncing volley from Coke, who did not get proper connection on his shot after Buxton crossed.
4:42pm
El-Abd was booked in the 79th minute for tugging back Lita.
4:41pm
Wednesday had been angered by the way Albion had been calling for Pugh to be shown a red card for his foul on Calderon. - and that probably played a part in the fracas in the technical areas.
4:39pm
The way fans, seated close by, were looking down the tunnel suggested there might have been some afters as well. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
4:39pm
Vicente and David Lopez looked to weave some magic with a short corner in the 75th minute but the latter's curling shot flew over the bar.
4:38pm
Stewards intervened as members of two management and coaching teams argued. It all got very heated and eventually ref Hooper sent home boss Dave Jones and Albion coach Charlie Oatway to the stand.
4:36pm
Pugh was booked for catching Calderon very late - but Albion felt it should have been a red card and that led to problems.
4:31pm
Vicente whipped in a terrific corner which caused a lot of uncertainty but no one could get in a decisive touch for Albion and the moment passed with El-Abd's half-hit shot bouncing wide.
4:29pm
Vicente's first contribution was to win a corner.
4:28pm
Sensible that from GP. Crowd had been on Ulloa's back. Why risk another red with the game effectively out of reach again? #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
4:27pm
Attendance: 22,044 (1,188 away)
4:27pm
It was a crowded six-yard box from the corner but would have expected Tomasz to be stronger. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
4:26pm
Amid the mayhem it's 4 in 9 now for the ever-improving Orlandi. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
4:25pm
Ref Hooper was clearly unhappy with Ulloa. He called the Argentinian for a chat in the presence of Calderon. Moments later Ulloa made went for Vicente.
4:24pm
It was uncomplicated but effective stuff from the hosts but they were now well-placed to operate their favoured counter-attacking tactics.
4:21pm
Orlandi's goal came on 54 minutes and just two minutes later Wednesday were two goals up again. Kuszczak could not deal with a corner as Wednesday piled players into the goalmouth and ANTONIO bundled over the line.
4:20pm
Mackail-Smith was full of energy. He beat Pugh's tackle to the right of goal - and stayed on his feet as he seemed to be clipped - before firing across goal. The low cross was only half cleared and ORLANDI thrashed home a shot to put his side back in the contest.
4:17pm
Albion's fans in the upper tier behind Kirkland's goal were trying to rally their side with choruses of The Great Escape.
4:15pm
Mackail-Smith took the chance to run at Llera just outside the box but this time the big Spanish defender took the ball off him quite easily before clearing long.
4:14pm
Ulloa was booked for a foul, ref Hooper pausing before he showed yellow to point out where he had already spoken to the striker after a first-half challenge.
4:13pm
Play switched to the end. Upson got in a great header to deny Lita in front of goal As the ball was whipped back in low from the other side, Lita got in front of Upson but flicked wide.
4:11pm
Mackail-Smith quickly livened things up. He made a good run but was unable to guide the ball to a colleague as it bounced awkwardly on the bobbly pitch. Then Mackail-Smth's touch sent Ulloa away down the left. The Argentinian opted to dribble and cut inside with men waiting for a cross and his eventual angled shot was charged down at the expense of a corner, which came to nothing.
4:08pm
Second half is in progress
4:08pm
Albion made a change at the interval as Mackail-Smith replaced Bridcutt.
3:57pm
Seen the replay and think it was a red. Barnes thought he had been shoved over by Lee. He then jumped in one-footed. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
3:52pm
HT Whitehawk 1 Lewes o. Hawks had a stream of chances but only one goal to show for it
— @HowardGriggs 02 February 2013
3:51pm
Wed well on their way to avenging 3-0 defeat at Amex at half-time. #bhafc need something exceptional in second 45.
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
3:50pm
Half-time
3:49pm
David Lopez opted against a shot from the free-kick, just to the right of goal, and Wednesday cleared the high ball played to the far post.
3:48pm
Llera was getting away with plenty of holding on Ulloa whenever the ball was played towards the Argentinian. Then Ulloa was flattened by Gardner 25 yards out during three minutes of added time.
3:45pm
Barnes has been in good form too. At least #bhafc have more striker than defensive options.
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
3:45pm
Whitehawk 1 Lewes 0 Michael Malcolm 42min
— @HowardGriggs 02 February 2013
3:44pm
El-Abd got across to block an Antonio volley after Albion played themselves into trouble.
3:40pm
Ulloa sent a volley well wide as Albion sought a quick response. Then they won two corners but Orlandi's volley, from the second of them, was way off target.
3:39pm
You know I talked about too many draws? It would be a great result now! #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
3:38pm
Wednesday lead 2-0 and Brighton are down ten men. We've had worse 35 minutes this season. #swfc
— @OwlsAlive 02 February 2013
3:37pm
PUGH took the free-kick wide on the right and his driven low cross-shot went straight in at the far post.
3:35pm
Albion's task suddenly got a lot tougher when Barnes was shown a straight red card in the 32nd minute for catching Lee late as the Wednesday man crossed from the byline.
3:33pm
Good move by Brighton, the cross comes in and Buxton heads behind for a corner. Brighton getting stronger as the game goes on. #swfc
— @OwlsAlive 02 February 2013
3:30pm
Fancy Ulloa to notch again on the evidence so far. Upson has settled in now. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
3:29pm
Wednesday fans were urging their players to "get into" the visitors. But Albion played their way in down the right with a crisp passing move involving Bridcutt, Barnes and David Lopez. The latter sent in a deep cross from near the byline which forced Buxton, covering across from right-back, to head behind just beyond the far post.
3:27pm
Prutton was the first man booked for a foul on Barnes in midfield midway through the first half. But this time Orlandi's free-kick delivery was poor. The ball was cleared easily and, when David Lopez played it back in, Ulloa was caught offside.
3:24pm
Lita a good signing for Wednesday. 3 in 10 for Brum and part of a win at The Amex. 2 in 2 for Owls after debut goal at Charlton. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
3:23pm
Then Ulloa popped up on the right and played in a cross which was headed away as far as David Lopez 25 yards out. But the Spaniard opted for an ambitious volley taken early on the left foot and the ball bounced a long way wide.
3:21pm
David Lopez drifted on to the left and played a nice pass which got Barnes in behind the defence to force a corner. The set piece was delivered into the six-yard box and Wednesday managed to get it away from Barnes
3:18pm
Albion had settled but, that free kick apart, were lacking precision in possession.
When Wednesday countered they got Lita breaking into the box on the right-hand side and El-Abd had to hurry across to force the ball behind for a corner. Pugh's inswinging flag kick was dangerous but Barnes got in a good defensive header.
3:16pm
GOAL: Sheff Weds 1-0 #BHAFC Adrian Harms: "Not the start they wanted. A really well placed header from Lita."
— @BBCSussexSport 02 February 2013
3:15pm
Kirkland, who has been in good form between the sticks for Owls, kept his side ahead in the 12th minute. Orlandi whipped in a fine free-kick from out on the left which picked out Ulloa coming in behind the defence. The striker controlled his volley well, directing it low just inside Kirkland's near post, but the keeper got down quickly to turn it behind.
3:12pm
Albion won their first corner in the 11th minute when Calderon's cross was cleared behind after he burst on to Ulloa's pass. But the flag kick was headed away.
3:10pm
Not the start Upson or #bhafc wanted. The new signing and former England team-mate Bridge were left looking at each other.
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
3:08pm
Wednesday changed that by going ahead in the fifth minute as LITA got off to a dream start. Antonio went on a run which took him out to the left from where he chipped in a fine cross and the new Owls striker worked space behind Upson to head past Kuszczak.
3:06pm
El-Abd had to make the first headed clearance but the game was off to a quiet start
3:04pm
Upson started as the left-sided centre-back with El-Abd moving across to the right-sided berth, next to skipper Inigo Calderon.
3:03pm
Last match Gordon Greer missed was not far from here, the 0-0 draw at Barnsley at the end of last season. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 02 February 2013
3:02pm
Albion defending the Leppings Lane End in this first half.
3:01pm
Team news is on this site. Here we go.
3:01pm
They have beaten them at the Goldstone, at Withdean, at The Amex and even at Highbury. But a little bit of history beckons the men in green and black today as Albion chase the club's first ever away win over Sheffield Wednesday.

How is Barnes higher up the pecking order than HOSKINS ? Its crazy !!!! Im sorry , i dont care for some of his tracking back , Hoskins has 100 times more skill and vision than Barnes !! He links up play and his first touch is sublime... Barnes falls over every time a defender gets near him , is petulent and lacks pace ...
Hoskins just doesn't get the chances he deserves .... GG

The Barnes debate will continue to go on but as long as GP continues to pick him them we as fans have to go with it.
(Note I sit on the fence re my thoughts)
What I'm more worried about is the starting line up. Our two fastest players are sat on the bench, one being our record signing and arguably the best player in the championship is sat next to them, next to him is another that divides opinion nearly as much as Barnes.
This is just my opinion but I've been saying it for weeks "why are we so negative?" It's now way past the half way stage and the reigns are still being used.
We have some of the best attacking talent outside of the premiership. Why is it sat on the bench?
As mentioned, it's just my opinion.

We are holding back some of our match winners to come on later and maybe grab us a win or perhaps a draw if behind.
Why not just try and get the goals early?
Please excuse me. I'm just a little frustrated with so much talent getting splinters and a result thus far that I don't care for.
