Emma Taylor-Gooby completed a record-breaking win at the Brighton Half Marathon.

The Worthing and District Harrier came home in 78min.06sec to triumph by more than a minute from Sarah Hill.

The Sussex cross country champion's time also smashed the previous course record set by Brighton and Hove City's Fiona Powell in 2011 of 80min.57sec.

Paul Martelletti, of Victoria Park Harriers, won the men's race in 67min.29sec from Tom Aldred. Ian Leitch, of Phoenix, was the top Sussex runner in third place with a time of 68min.32sec.
