Vincelot holds no grudges over Albion exit
4:00pm Monday 18th February 2013 in Sport By Andy Naylor
Romain Vincelot had his contract terminated at Albion by mutual consent
Romain Vincelot has no complaints about his Albion career turning sour and says he is in the "best job in the world".
Vincelot has linked up with Leyton Orient under former Seagulls chief Russell Slade after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
The French utility player has only good memories of his 18 months at The Amex, depite dropping out of first team contention and being invited to look for another club.
Vincelot, 27, told The Argus: "I had a great start, then I had a problem with my shoulder and I played all season with it. My injury and also sometimes my versatility worked against me.
"I had a good chat with the manager at the end of last season, just after my operation. He said I could stay if I wanted to or look for another club. I told him I would look for something else to get more games, then I was no longer in his plans which was fair.
"This is the best job in the world. There are always things that are a bit bad or hard but you are a footballer, so you cannot complain too much. There are sometimes things you are not happy with but you have to look at the bigger picture."

Top guy.Like he said, best job in the world. Most men would do it for free.Thats why i hate vile freeloaders that make nothing of it.Like the Leeds player that said in the sun this weekend."Most footballers don't know how lucky they really are."He also said, fans have a right to get on players backs, and give them a hard time. They pay their wages at the end of the day.100% spot on.

The key word in the rest of your comment, Freeloaders, is "most". Yes, most fans would play football for free, lots even pay for the privilege. But, not all. There must be some players out there that simply see it as a job just like us normaltons! This possibly could effect performance in some way but, if a player is talented enough to make up for any downfall, I don't see a problem with that. Surely, thats like anyone else in any other walk of life.
As for giving players of your own team a hard time, I guess we do pay their wages in a way and therefore entitled to have an opinion, but can't see it ever helps! No player goes out to play badly. It's not in their interest even if they don't want to fight for the club they are with.

PS: I couldn't, but then the days of my being paid to play football have passed. Still, I love the game enough to keep playing for free, but I have to have a proper job too to put a roof over my family's heads etc.

And since when has it been a truism that only those making money out of the game know anything about it? Some of us have lives that encompass things other than football. Astrophysics in my case. (Look it up in a dictionary.) And family. Oh, and my own business.
Still, nice for you to finally admit you are yourself a 'vile freeloader'.

and deserves success. Shame it wasn't at the Albion.
As for playing for nothing, it's just a saying.
Just like I'd give my right arm.
This is my first post and may well be my last, judging by the vitriolic garbage above.
