Albion have been warned of the Vicente-type threat posed by former Seagull Craig Noone at Cardiff tonight.

Coach Charlie Oatway admits it is difficult to know what to expect from the winger sold to the table-topping Welshmen in August.

Noone was restored to Cardiff’s starting line-up for Saturday’s 2-1 home win against Bristol City after sitting out a hat-trick of away games.

He is expected to feature against an Albion side likely to include the fit-again Vicente, who has scored in each of his last two outings.

Oatway said: “They haven’t used Craig lately as much as they did when he first went there but he is still a big threat. If he plays or comes on for 20 or 25 minutes he is a player we have to watch.

“I know he is a different type to Vicente but they are so off-the-cuff those sort of players. They can do things other players can’t so it’s hard to predict what you can do against him to stop him or slow him down.

“You have just got to hope he has a a bit of a bad day, we have a good day against him and it goes according to plan for us, because if the boy is on song and they flood him with the ball he is very hard to combat.”
