9:42pm
9:41pm
Albion settled the contest deep in added time. David Lopez intercepted a crossfield Bellamy pass just inside his own half, made a lot of ground down the right and then teed up ULLOA for a drive which deflected in off Hudson.
9:38pm
At last Albion managed to get something going in attack and Buckley saw his narrow-angled drive helped into the side-netting by Marshall.
9:37pm
As the game moved into six added minutes, Bruno was booked for kicking the ball away.
9:32pm
It seemed Conway's brillient inswinging cross from the left must bring an equaliser but somehow Gunnarsson failed to make proper contact with his header at the far post.
9:31pm
Striker Helguson replaced Campbell in the 84th minute.
9:26pm
The Seagulls were creating nothing by way of pressure-relieving counter attacks.
Instead, Kuszczak had to react smartly again to hold Gunnarsson's low drive.
9:25pm
Campbell shot over after a nice move down the right. Then Gunnarsson's long throw flicked off an Albion head and seemd to bounce off the outside of the post for yet another City corner.
9:24pm
The limping Hammond made way for Calderon.
9:23pm
Campbell had a presentable chance in the 71st minute but headed Bellamy's corner wide at the far post.
Kuszczak immediately came out of goal to protest at some holding, a move which displeased ref Stroud, who booked the Albion keeper.
9:20pm
Apologies for fewer tweets tonight, by the way. This is down to both technical and time reasons.
9:19pm
Hammond then needed treatment on his left thigh before rejoining the action.
9:17pm
Cardiff really should have taken chances here - Bellamy gifted a couple and hit woodwork once - but Brighton keeping cool in main.
— @ChrisWathan 19 February 2013
9:17pm
Orlandi made way for Dicker in the 70th minute.
9:15pm
Conway's next near thing came midway through the second half and was less conventional - a mis-directed cross which cleared the back-tracking Kuszczak and bounced off the top off the bar and behind.
9:12pm
El-Abd took no chances next time Bellamy, teaming up with Conway down the left, ran at him. The defender stood off and saw Bellamy's cross somehow headed away from goal by Campbell.
Then Conway had a run, cutting inside and firing a right foot shot which seemed destined for the top corner until Kuszczak rose to fingertip it over - another super save.
9:09pm
Cardiff were raising the tempo again.
9:08pm
El-Abd walked thin ice when he was adjudged to have barged over Bellamy on the left edge of the box as the home man looked to get to the byline. Ref Stroud awarded a free-kick rather than the penalty home fans demanded and kept his yellow card, which would have been the defender's second, in his pocket. The free-kick was headed away at the near post.
9:04pm
Gunnarsson had half a chance as the ball fell to him on the right-hand corner of the area but his hurried shot flew over the bar.
9:03pm
Conway looked like he might cause a threat down the City left wing.
8:59pm
Noone was replaced by Conway in the 53rd minute.
8:58pm
Bridcutt was booked for a foul to halt a counter attack in the 50th minute. The danger came after Bruno's pass was cut out just outside the City box and the full-back offered a wave of apology to his team mate as the yellow card was brandished.
8:57pm
Goalscorer Orlandi had the first shot of the second half from outside the box, but it rolled harmlessly wide of the goal closest to the corner section occupied by the travelling fans.
8:53pm
#bhafc have no cause to feel guilty. Ball has been on the other foot so often at The Amex.

Second half is in progress
8:33pm
8:33pm
Ulloa was booked for a foul within seconds of the restart after the goal.
8:32pm
Albion went ahead as the game ticked into its 43rd minute - and it was their former Swansea City man who netted. A neat move involving Bruno, Bridcutt and Hammond led to David Lopez being fed on the right. He crossed low and ORLANDI made a great run across his marker before deftly glancing the ball inside the far post with the outside of his left foot.
8:28pm
Then Albion bodies were flung at two shots in quick succession before the ball ricocheted behind for a corner which came to nothing.
8:25pm
#BHAFC will be indebted to Kuszczak if they get anything from this game, the double save was almost on par with Kuipers's Wolves heroics.

8:22pm
Craig Bellamy might be 104 yrs old, but looks as lively as ever. #BHAFC

8:22pm
Hammond rolled a pass back towards his keeper completely oblivious of Bellamy lurking. Bellamy raced on to the gently rolling ball and seemed to have got past Kuszczak's dive. But the Pole stuck out his left hand and swatted the ball away. The ball came back to Bellamy and Kuszczak was back to deny him again.
8:19pm
Kuszczak rescued his team - and spared Hammond's blushes - in the 32nd minute
8:17pm
Hudson was the first home player in the book after a foul on Ulloa on the Albion left but David Lopez wastefully curled the free-kick high and wide of the far post with team mates waiting for a cross.
8:15pm
Albion, though, might have gone ahead in the 26th minute when David Lopez flighted a free-kick towards the far post area. Orlandi laid it off and Ulloa saw his shot fisted away by Marshall as the keeper plunged high to his left.
8:13pm
Kuszczak's poor pass after receiving the ball to feet gifted Cardiff a throw-in near the corner flag. El-Abd delayed the taking of it and was booked.
8:11pm
Cardiff were cranking up the pressure and Kuszczak did well to punch away a teasing Whittingham cross in a packed goalmouth.
8:10pm
A shot was blocked from the resulting corner, then Bellamy got the ball in the box, to the left of goal, and played in a low cross or shot which came off the diving Kuszczak and, mercifully for Albion, reared up and over the bar.
8:08pm
Whittingham is an intelligent playmaker for City and he showed great awareness to try a curler for a goal in the 20th minute as most people expected a pass or cross. Kuszczak, though, had his wits about him and got across to the top corner at his near post to palm the ball behind.
8:01pm
Noone had a good chance to score against his old club in the 13th minute. Taylor got away from Bruno and pulled the ball back low from the byline but the little Scouser failed to get sweet contact on his left-foot shot on the half turn. Kuszczak dived to his left for a relatively comfortable save.
7:58pm
Bridge's next cross, after good work to beat full-back Connolly, was better. Ulloa failed to make contact with his foot but the ball came off his marker Turner before Marshall dived to grab it.
7:56pm
After that initial Cardiff flurry the game settled down with Albion getting some possession in midfield. But Ulloa was offside as he looked to get on the end of a Bridge cross which was probably overhit anyway.
7:52pm
Albion cleared a corner and then a long throw by Gunnarsson
7:51pm
It was soon clear Cardiff would press high up and they earned a free-kick just outside the box in only the fourth minute after Bellamy's long run was halted. The danger came after Bridcutt gave the ball away on halfway and ended when Bellamy's free-kick was thrashed into the wall.
7:48pm
Albion fans in a corner of the stadium were singing "We're blue and we know we are" as the game got under way.
7:47pm
Match is in progress
7:41pm
Options for the mf/forward set-up. Suspect Orlandi in Barnes role, Buckley right wing. Bridcutt, David, Hammond triangle. #bhafc

7:38pm
You will have seen team news and line-ups elsewhere on this site but essentially David Lopez and Orlandi replace Vicente, who is on the bench, and, of course, the sadly injured Hoskins.
7:37pm
I don't think he was trying to rub it in or anything but the matchday announcer has just mentioned in his build-up that there are 21 points between these two sides. The more significant number for Albion is the four-point deficit compared to sixth place.
Dean Hammond mentioned on The Argus today that the squad have a target figure in mind if they are to finish in a play-off berth. What is that target? Well Andrea Orlandi was talking about 11 more wins when I spoke to him after the recent defeat at Sheffield Wednesday. So ten more then, on that basis. They will be doing well if they get one tonight. Cardiff have 13 wins and a draw in 15 home outings to date.
7:32pm
They are top of the table and have been red hot on their home turf this season. Now Albion are out to give their scarlet-clad hosts the blues and close in on the target which they still believe can take them to the play-offs. We’re at Cardiff City for Championship action.

Looking at the other results, they seem to have gone mostly in our favour.
Now we're only 2 points behind Middlesbrough at 6th, and 4 points clear of Nottingham Forrest, and we still have a game in hand.
Well placed for that final push.

The two goals were superbly well taken.
Our back five were amazing, Bridcutt had a good game as did Hammond.
I am glad Ulloa scored his one and only real chance, he did have a couple of half chances but for most of the game he was stranded playing on his own.
Buckley had a quiet game.

No Barnes for 3 matches - just coincidence?
I guess we'll have another half a match or so whilst he comes back to fitness levels - always good to debate just how much specialness he brings to the team - no one doubts his input of course
You make your luck of course too and we've been due some for most of the season
Forest will be dangerous with Billy D back in role - two winnable home matches to come
Buckley lacking confidence at the moment - a real shame

Great result puts us right back in the mix, especially as Blackburn & Leicester lost. We need a run of results now. Great to watch in on stream. Liked Orlandi playing alongside Ulloa, I thought they both did well. Fantastic display from Kuz and Bridge although I thought Bruno looked out of sorts. His passing was really poor and he gave possession away more than anyone. Shame about Hammond's injury with Bridcutt out on Saturday. Still at least we have Vicente to enter the wray. Really good performance though and a fantastic result.

But back to the game, great performance from PiG. My stream let me down, although the only 30 seconds I DID get to see was Orlandi's goal :-) Great ball from Hammond (I think) and and even better cross from Spanish Dave. Woeful defending from the guy marking Orlandi though - totally fell asleep. Almost makes up for the amount of muggins we've had at the Amex this season.
