Albion are due a home goal against Burnley
11:30am Saturday 23rd February 2013 in Sport By Brian Owen
Albion have gone three games without scoring at home to Burnley – after netting twice in as many minutes.
Steve Sidwell struck on 88 and 89 minutes to salvage the Seagulls’ last home point against their visitors from East Lancs back in December 2002.
The midfielder’s late rescue mission secured a 2-2 draw in a Championship game at Withdean after Glen Little and Ian Thomas-Moore put Burnley two goals up.
Since then, Burnley have recorded two 1-0 wins and a 0-0 draw on three visits to Sussex.
Last season’s match was a stormy affair which many fans at The Amex today will still vividly remember.
Romain Vincelot and Ashley Barnes were sent off in the first 12 minutes but Burnley struggled to break down a nine-man home side astutely set up by boss Gus Poyet.
Kieran Trippier got the winner with a shot from the edge of the box.
Even then, Craig Mackail-Smith almost rescued a heroic point for the depleted hosts in added time.
Albion won 3-1 at Turf Moor this season but have gone four games without a win at home to Burnley.
Zeke Rowe’s lone goal gave them their most recent home success, back in April 1996.

Vicente has been rested since his 90 minute appearance, CMS is reportedly back to full fitness and Ulloa is eager to score his first in the league at home, do we start with all three, I say yes.
If we are looking for Vicente to weave his magic then we need the right players on the park to benefit form what Vicente can do.
A lot of energy was withdrawn from the bank against Cardiff and with Vicente and CMS missing out on that game they should be very fresh and eager to play.

As for not scoring against Burnley for a while at home,i think we will make up for that today and score a few. UTA
