Crawley sign Reading midifelder on loan

Crawley have signed Reading midfielder Jake Taylor on loan until the end of March.

Reds boss Richie Barker moved to bring in Taylor due to injuries to Sergio Torres and Billy Clarke which depleted an already small squad.

Taylor has made one first team appearance for the Royals in a League Cup tie in August 2010 and has had loan spells at Aldershot, Exeter and Reading.

Taylor, who can play right across the midfield or up front, has represented Wales at under-17 and under-19 level and won his tenth cap for the under-21s alongside Crawley defender Joe Walsh earlier this month.

The 21-year-old goes straight into the squad for Saturday's game at Bury and will be available for eight game in total.
