Taylor handed Crawley debut as top scorer Clarke is ruled out
2:08pm Saturday 2nd March 2013 in Sport By Steve Hollis
New signing Jake Taylor comes straight into the Crawley side for their clash with Bury at Gigg Lane today.
The on-loan Reading midfielder, who only signed on Thursday, makes his debut in place of the injured Billy Clarke, who limped off on Tuesday night against Brentford with a hamstring strain.
Taylor's inclusion is one of two changes to the team which lost 2-1 to the Bees, Connor Essam making his full debut for Reds in place of the suspended Mark Connolly.
For the second match in a row Crawley are only able to name six players on the substitutes' bench. Sergio Torres does return to the squad though after missing the game against Brentford with a rib injury.
Bury stick with the same starting XI which pulled off a shock 1-0 victory over Swindon in midweek. That means returning striker Andy Bishop has to be content with a place on the bench.
Bury (4-2-3-1): Carson; Worrall, Eastham, Ebanks-Landell, Skarz; Carrington, Thompson; Ajose, Schumacher, Soares; Fagan. Subs: Jones, Bishop, Regan, Healy, Clark-Harris, Belford.
Crawley (4-2-3-1): P Jones; Dumbuya, Walsh, Essam, Sadler; Bulman, Sparrow; M Jones, Proctor, Adams; Proctor. Subs: Maddison, Hunt, Torres, Smith, Elford-Alliyu, O'Brien.
