Albion coach hits back at Jones

Charlie Oatway and Dave Jones clash at Hillsborough last month
Albion coach Charlie Oatway has responded to a “nobody” slur from Dave Jones by declaring: “There is no shadow over my name”.
Jones was front page news in a national tabloid last Friday after the Sheffield Wednesday manager reportedly had an extra-marital affair.
The former Cardiff chief had previously branded Oatway a “nobody” after the pair clashed during Albion’s defeat at Hillsborough last month.
Oatway said: “People that know me obviously know that I am not a nobody. At the end of the day there is no shadow over my name, so I don’t care what he says.”
Oatway and Jones were both charged by the FA with improper conduct following their second half flashpoint at Hillsborough. Albion’s No. 3 was cleared by video evidence produced by the club, while Jones was fined and handed a suspended one-match touchline ban.

Of course, Mr Jones may call Charllie a 'nobody' but he is himself, one of football's nearly men.
Let's see if Mr Jones is still at Hillsborough in a year's time.

Does the fact that Mr Jones has been accused of giving a netball coach some extra physical training instead of walking the dog, really make Mr Oatway a better person?
His antics along with those of Mr Poyet were embarrassingly cynical and in the vein of a lot of what is wrong with football today. At least Mr Poyet realised that things had gone too far and quickly sat down, but unfortunately Mr Oatway is not that bright is he?

Don't we have an important game tonight? Bristol City seeking their 5th consecutive home win, Albion looking to continue a winning streak. Much more interesting....

Sorry gentlemen, but really how long a conversation could any of us have with (checks name again) Charlie Oatway?

It would make a good bout at Charlie’s Boxing night next week, could even sell the TV rights to that one.
