Essam keeps his place as Crawley are unchanged

Crawley boss Richie Barker has named the same team which triumphed at Bury on Saturday for tonight's home clash with Carlisle United.

That means Connor Essam retains his place in the centre of defence alongside Joe Walsh following an impressive home debut at Gigg Lane. Mark Connolly, available again after serving a one-match ban, has to be content with a place on the bench.

Top scorer Billy Clarke has failed to recover from the hamstring injury which forced him off at half-time in the 2-1 defeat to Brentford last Tuesday so Jamie Proctor, who scored both goals at Bury, continues as the lone forward.

On-loan Reading midfielder Jake Taylor makes his home debut as Reds bid for only their second win in their last eight outings at Broadfield Stadium.

Carlisle make two changes to the side which lost 1-0 to at Notts County on Saturday. Mark Beck replaces the suspended Liam Miller up front while Brad Potts comes into the midfield with Liam Noble dropping to the bench.

Crawley (4-1-2-3): P Jones; Dumbuya, Walsh, Essam, Sadler; Bulman; Sparrow, Taylor; M Jones, Proctor, Adams. Subs: Maddison, Hunt, Torres, Connolly, Smith, O'Brien, Elford-Alliyu.

Carlisle (4-3-3): Gillespie; Simek, Livesey, O'Hanlon, Mustoe; Potts, Thirlwell, Berrett; Loy, Beck, McGovern. Subs: Collin, Murphy, Welsh, Noble, Cadamarteri, Edwards, Symington.
