Crawley boss points finger at goalkeeper Jones as Reds are held

Crawley boss Richie Barker criticised goalkeeper Paul Jones following the 1-1 draw with Carlisle United at Broadfield Stadium.

Jones was beaten by a 40-yard free kick from Jon-Paul McGovern which caught him off his line and bounced in off the underside of the bar.

Mat Sadler scored a sensational equaliser 11 minutes into the second half but Reds could not force a winner to suffer another frustrating home draw.

Barker said: "We'd seen him (McGovern) try it a few weeks ago and told Paul so it is disappointing when people don't take on board the information you give them.

"I think the first goal was crucial too. If we had got it I thought we would have gone on to win the game fairly comfortably but once they got their noses in front it was always going to be hard to break them down.

"I thought the way we played was fantastic though. It is another game where we didn't get what we deserved."
