Borough hopeful on duo

Elliott Charles
Eastbourne Borough are hoping to welcome Elliott Charles and Chris Shephard back into their threadbare squad.
Both were close to returning from hamstring injuries for Tuesday’s goalless draw at home to Dorchester when Borough could field only three substitutes.
Manager Tommy Widdrington decided not to risk the pair but expects them to be fit for today's match at home to Farnborough.
Gillingham work experience duo Josh Hare and Nathan Nyalfi have left the club after one league appearance each so the return of top scorer Charles and creative midfielder Shephard would add both numbers and quality to the squad.
Widdrington could not guarantee Hare or Nyalfi to start each game as Gillingham boss Martin Allen wanted so they have returned to the Priestfield Stadium and will be sent out to other clubs.
The Borough boss said: “I won’t have another person telling me how to pick my team. The manager there wanted them playing each week and I can’t guarantee that.”
Young Crystal Palace defender Alex Wynter last week joined on a month’s loan and Widdrington is seeking further additions.
He added: “I have been out far afield and around the corner watching games. I am waiting for phone calls back but there is nothing definite yet. Should it not be in time for this weekend then it should be for next Saturday.”
