Barnes ushered away by Bruno. Mystery. Possibly dissent. All over, 1-0. #bhafc

4:55pm
There was barely time for play to restart before the final whistle sounded.
Final: Bolton 1 Albion 0
4:55pm
Barnes, 30 yards or more from where play was taking place, was mysteriously red-carded deep in added time.
4:52pm
Albion were piling players forward. Vicente had an effort charged down after cleverly making room.
As the pressure continued into added time, Buckley's volley slithered just wide.
4:49pm
Bolton then sent on defender Wheater for striker Ngog.
4:48pm
Albion's Spanish contingent almost fashioned an equaliser on 86 minutes after Bruno dispossessed Chung-Yong and started an attack. Vicente's lovely angled ball - his best of the day so far - got Orlandi in behind the right side of the defence. Orlandi cut inside on to his right foot and fired across goal and narrowly past the far post.
4:45pm
Bolton had a chance to eat up tme - and possibly end the contest - when a counter attack saw Bridcutt foul Chung-Yong just outside the Albion penalty area. But Eagles curled his free-kick straight to Kuszczak.
4:39pm
If there's ever been a time to turn it on & get three points right now is it. Other current results all working for us, come on #BHAFC
— @brooksyUK 09 March 2013
4:39pm
Then another free-kick in that position, to the right of the box, saw Ulloa head over from David Lopez's outswinging delivery.
4:37pm
Chung-Yong was booked for two fouls in the space of ten seconds just outside the home box, on Albion's right, on 75 minutes. But the free-kick came to nothing.
Craig Davies replaced Kevin Davies at the next stoppage.
4:35pm
Bolton are doubling up on Buckley, who is giving Alonso more to think about. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 09 March 2013
4:33pm
For all their good work, Albion had not really tested Lonergan. Vicente looked to change that with an on-target drive from just outside the box but it was straight at the keeper.
4:31pm
Orlandi had slotted in at left-back, no doubt with an eye to attack, though there had been no sign of any injury as Bridge, who was on the far side of the pitch from the dugouts, went off.
Most of Albion's better attacking work was going through David Lopez.
Eagles was replaced by Medo on 70 minutes for the hosts.
4:28pm
Good skill down the right by Buckley earned Albion their 11th corner of the contest. David Lopez put the ball on Upson's head at the far post but his effort went over.
4:27pm
Orlandi replaced Bridge midway through the second half.
4:22pm
Vicente has, by his high standards, been very ordinary up to now. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 09 March 2013
4:20pm
Crofts made way for Buckley on 57 minutes.
4:19pm
Bolton's fans demanded an improvement - and they so nearly got a second goal on 55 minutes. A frantic scramble in the Albion goalmouth saw Kuszczak save from Spearing, Upson block just in front of goal from Chung-Yong and a follow-up by Ngog deflect narrowly wide.
4:15pm
Att: 17,599 (1,202 away)
4:14pm
Bolton won a corner in response - but Albion cleared, countered and a lovely touch by David Lopez gave Ulloa room to cross the right. His delivery was not the best but flicked off Knight's head which possibly wrong-footed Barnes, whose half-volley beyond the far post went horribly high and wide.
4:12pm
Ulloa's header teed up a chance for David Lopez in the 51st minute. The Spaniard's eyes no doubt lit up as the ball dropped to him 20 yards out but a cleanly hit right-foot volley flew narrowly over the bar.
4:10pm
That was part of an encouraging start to the half by the Seagulls.
4:08pm
Albion had a chance to put a free-kick into the box from wide in the opening minute of the second period.
David Lopez's delivery from the right was good but the ball flicked agonisingly off the top of Upson's head as he rose well at the far post.
4:05pm
Second half is in progress
3:53pm
#bhafc can count themselves unfortunate to be behind. Not much from Vicente - yet.
— @AndyNaylorArgus 09 March 2013
3:50pm
Barnes had a shot from 25 yards deflected for a corner as the game headed for one minute of added time. The same player then looked to feed off Upson's header from the resulting set-piece but Lonergan was there first to grab the ball.
Albion had a minor scare to survive just before the break when El-Abd forced Ngog's low cross to safety.
HALF: Bolton 1, Albion 0
3:46pm
Bolton's late Amex saviour Ngog could, perhaps should, have made it 2-0. Shot over at the near post on the stretch from Alonso cross. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 09 March 2013
3:45pm
Albion were getting in some decent crosses, notably through Bruno. But a ball in from wide at the other end almost undid them in the 40th minute. Alonso was the provider but the ball bounced just in front of Ngog, who was unable to control his near-post effort and saw it skip up off his foot and over the bar.
3:37pm
Vicente won a free-kick on the byline but saw his attempt to drill the set-piece under the two-man wall blocked as they stood firm.
The next attack saw Crofts lay the ball off to Bruno, who shot past the top corner from 25 yards.
Opposing Spanish full-back Alonso, a product of the Real Madrid youth set-up, might have doubled his tally for the afternoon on 33 minutes but headed a decent chance tamely wide following a corner.
3:32pm
That's Alonso's third of the season. Brighton still looking dangerous going forward at the moment. (26) 1-0
— @OfficialBWFC 09 March 2013
3:30pm
Long way left in this game yet!

GOAL! #BWFC 1-0 #BHAFC Warren Aspinall: "Totally against the run of play, Bolton broke quickly, #BHAFC caught out."
— @BBCSussexSport 09 March 2013
3:28pm
Surely #bhafc not going to have the same cruel luck at the Reebok they endured v Bolton at The Amex?
— @AndyNaylorArgus 09 March 2013
3:27pm
Cruelly for Albion, Bolton moved straight to the other end and went ahead when ALONSO got forward from left-back to drive a fine angled shot across Kuszczak and low inside the far post.
3:25pm
Albion were so close to going ahead on 20 minutes when Bruno got to the byline and saw his low cross drilled against the post by Crofts. That came just seconds after Ulloa had headed the ball into the goalmouth from David Lopez's free-kick, forcing Knight to hurriedly clear away from Barnes in the six-yard box.
3:17pm
Bruno did well to head clear a dangerous cross by Eagles as play switched to the other end. But Albion, whose fans were in fine voice, could be fairly happy with their start.
3:16pm
Then Vicente made a strong drive down the middle which was ended by a foul 30 yards out. David Lopez flighted the centrally placed free-kick to Crofts, in space on the left of the box, and his angled volley was pushed behind by Lonergan stretching to his left.
3:13pm
Vicente was shrugged off the ball easily on a couple of early occasions but produced a clever touch down the right to make space for Bruno on nine minutes. The full-back whipped in a nice cross and Barnes' glancing header flew over the bar.
3:10pm
Ngog was the first to get a shot on target with a low drive after beating Bridcutt and Upson on the edge of the box but it was straight at Kuszczak.
3:09pm
Vicente is roving from a bit deeper, to right of Crofts, with David wide right. #bhafc
— @AndyNaylorArgus 09 March 2013
3:08pm
Kuszczak's accurate delivery sent Barnes away down the left to combine with Ulloa before being crowded out in the Bolton area.
A minute later Barnes, finding early space in an attacking left-of-centre role, fired in a volley which was deflected for a corner.
3:06pm
Recalled Eagles, on the left, got in the first cross in only the second minute but Upson was alert and cleared. When Eagles then lofted the ball back in, Kuszczak came out to catch and set Albion moving with a swift punt.
3:02pm
Match is in progress
3:02pm
Albion, in green and black, will defend the away end in this first half.
3:01pm
The stand opposite us is named in honour of Nat Lofthouse.
3:00pm
Reports suggest Bolton's fans have been in good voice of late. Their team have certainly come from behind, or scored late, to grab some very handy points. Albion are expected to have about 1,000 here today for the club's first trip to The Reebok. They have the western half of the lower tier of the South Stand, behind the goal to my right.
2:54pm
If there's any justice in football, #BHAFC will be coming back with 3 points today. #bwfc absolutely mugged us at the Amex this season.

Looking for a match between two form teams in the Championship? Then you have come to the right place.
Bolton Wanderers (unbeaten in seven, won their last four) v Albion (unbeaten in six). Both teams in the running for the play-offs (no matter how much Bolton boss Dougie Freedman might try to play down his team’s chances). And an intriguing Albion line-up too.
A traditional-style running report plus selected tweets will follow right here. You can also follow our team from The Argus on Twitter via @AndyNaylorArgus @Brian__Owen @Simondackpix

Also a bit of a gamble throwing Crofty back in there with no recent match practice (as far I'm aware).
Bolton still have a lot of players with Premier League experience so it's going to be a tough one. UTA!

can see him doing the same against us next week. Palace just score for fun. Possession and shots on goal mean nothing unless you really test and eventually beat the keeper.

Well thats it---hard now to get to play offs--AND BARNES RED CARDED AGAIN---as if we did not have enough problems with forwards. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

We also have a game in hand over Forest, Bolton and Middlesborough so still a good chance to be well in the play off zone.
Lots of shots today just need the finesse and finishing power.
Let's get a decent loan striker and get a few off target shots on Target!!!

I am optimistic; a win a Bradford and Leicester lose to Cardif and Notts Forest lose to Hull and we are OK and will be well back in the playoffs.
