Adam Shields and Eagles colleagues can't ride today
Eastbourne Eagles have called off today's official practice - which was open to fans - because of a waterlogged track.
Riders are getting together at Arlington this morning for media duties but plans to have a skid ahead of next Saturday's Elite League opener at home to Belle Vue have been put on hold.
Eagles' No.1 Bjarne Pedersen was also left kicking his heels last night when the Brandonapolis, the season-opening individual event at Coventry, was washed out.
