Albion duo in Scotland squad to face England
11:37am Monday 22nd July 2013 in Sport
Albion pair Gordon Greer and Liam Bridcutt have been named in the Scotland squad for the friendly against England at Wembley on August 14.
Reading-born Bridcutt, who qualifies through a grandparent, made his debut in Serbia in March for a Scotland side managed by Gordon Strachan, with former Albion boss Mark McGhee as his assistant.
Seagulls skipper Greer was called into the squad for the World Cup qualifier in Croatia in June but had to pull out through illness.
Midfielder Bridcutt also missed the 1-0 win in Croatia due to injury.
Glaswegian-born central defender Greer, 32, last represented his country in a B international in 2006.
The Wednesday night friendly against England falls in-between Albion's first home Championship game of the season against Derby on August 10 and a trip to Birmingham on August 17.
