Albion capture Agustien
Albion have landed Swansea midfielder Kemy Agustien, subject to him passing a medical.
Wessel Weezenberg, one of Agustien's representatives, confirmed to The Argus the Dutchman is signing a two-year deal.
Agustien is expected to watch Albion's friendly against Villarreal at The Amex tonight once the formalities of his move are completed.
The 26-year-old tweeted last night: "Only medical tomoz and hopefully a new chapter can start."
The Argus website revealed last Saturday morning that Agustien was poised to become one of the first signings for new head coach Oscar Garcia.
The former Birmingham and Crystal Palace loanee flew out to Spain last week for talks at Albion's Segovia training camp.
Agustien's arrival follows the removal from the wage bill yesterday of Ryan Harley. He has joined Swindon after agreeing a financial settlement on the 11 months left on his contract.
Weezenberg said: "Brighton are getting an excellent, all-round midfielder. He is a very technical player, physically good and strong, and will fit in well with their type of football due to his Dutch background."
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Norwegian striker Toby Agdestein has signed for Terry Butcher's Inverness Caledonian Thistle until the January transfer window after leaving Albion by mutual consent yesterday.
