Crawley poised to sign striker
Crawley are understood to be on the verge of signing striker Emile Sinclair from Peterborough United for a club record fee.
Reds are believed to have beaten off competition from Notts County, Swindon and Shrewsbury to sign the former Nottingham Forest forward.
Sinclair is out of favour at Peterborough and is expected to join Crawley in time to face his current club on Saturday.
The 25-year-old began his career at Forest and had spells at Brentford, Mansfield and Macclesfield before joining Peterborough for an undisclosed fee two years ago.
He has scored 13 goals in 26 league starts for the League One leaders but has not featured for Posh since October 2012, spending time at Doncaster and Barnsley on loan last season.
Crawley's current transfer record is believed to be the £275,000 they are reported to have paid York City for Richard Brodie in August 2010.
