Sinclair on bench for unchanged Crawley
New signing Emile Sinclair has to be content with a place on the bench for Crawley against former club Peterborough United today.
The striker, who completed a £100,000 move from Posh on Thursday, has not played all season so Reds boss Richie Barker sticks with the same starting XI which lost 2-1 at Wolves last Friday.
Sinclair replaces Connor Essam on the bench but will be hoping to get the chance to make an impact against the club which put him on the transfer list last November for breaking club discipline.
It is no surprise Barker has kept faith in the players who performed so well at Molineux and were unlucky not to pick up at least a point.
The only doubt was Joe Walsh who limped off during the second half against Wolves but has recovered to keep his place in the centre of defence.
He will partner Kyle McFadzean who was the subject of two bids - rejected by Crawley - from an unnamed club this week and could potentially be playing his last game for Reds if a third offer is accepted before Monday's deadline.
Sinclair is one of four former Peterborough players in the Crawley side with skipper Josh Simpson continuing at right-back ahead of James Hurst, who is on the bench. The other two are goalkeeper Paul Jones and Sergio Torres, who is on the bench.
Peterborough make four changes to the side which thrashed Reading 6-0 in the Capital One Cup in midweek and feature former Reds striker Tyrone Barnett in attack.
Peterborough (4-1-2-1-2): Olejnik; Ntlhe, Bostwick, Zakuani, Alcock; McCann; Rowe, Kearns; Tomlin; Barnett, Assobalonga. Subs: Day, Swanson, Payne, Mendez-Laing, Knight-Percival, Gordon, Little.
Crawley (4-4-2): P Jones; Simpson, McFadzean, Walsh, Sadler; Adams, Bulman, M Jones, M Jones; Clarke, Alexander. Subs: Maddison, Connolly, Hurst, Torres, Rooney, Sinclair, Proctor.
