Club sources have confirmed to The Argus that offers of around £5 million have been made for Argentinian hitman Ulloa and £1.75 million for Scottish international defensive midfielder Bridcutt.

But with the transfer window closing at 11pm tonight and Albion keen to mount another Championship promotion challenge, they have no intention of losing either player.

Ulloa bagged his fourth goal in five Championship outings in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Millwall at The Amex.

Bridcutt is recovering from a hernia operation which has sidelined him since the opening two games of the campaign.

Team-mate Keith Andrews, signed on loan from Bolton Wanderers for the season, said: “I certainly hope nobody goes, because I think we have got a really good mix.

“A few of us have only been here a few weeks but I am very impressed by the mix we have got in the dressing room, with experience, youth, foreign, English, Irish.

“If we hold on to what we have got I am confident we can have a very successful season.”
