George Barker scored twice for Albion's development squad in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Crawley at Falmer this morning.
The striker's second half double was not enough to secure victory as the Seagulls were held to an eventful 3-3 draw at the University of Sussex training ground.
Barker was handed his first senior outing of the season as a late substitute in the 3-1 defeat by Nottingham Forest at The Amex ten days ago.
He built on that appearance with a shot from long range which put Simon Ireland's youngsters 2-1 ahead early in the second half and then slotted Albion back into the lead after 63 minutes when Solly March set him up.
Brennan Dickenson scored Albion's opener, a 25th minute equaliser after latching onto Rohan Ince's deflected cross.
Connor Essam headed Crawley into a quick lead and they responded to deficits in the second half through Emile Sinclair (57) and Sergio Torres (83).
