Albion prospect Solly March could follow George Barker out of The Amex in a loan deal before Thursday’s deadline.

The Argus understands two League One clubs are interested in borrowing March.

The Seagulls are likely to sanction a temporary exit for the versatile midfielder so that he can gain more first team experience.

March travelled with the squad to Wigan on Saturday but was not included in the final 18. His chances of featuring again this season have been reduced now that Albion’s chronic injury crisis is beginning to clear up.

March, 19, made four late substitute appearances for Oscar Garcia’s depleted side in August and September after scoring a spectacular goal in the pre-season friendly against Norwich at The Amex.

The former Lewes teenager’s hopes of building on those outings and securing a spot as an attacking central midfielder or out wide have evaporated with Andrea Orlandi and Kemy Agustien back in contention and Will Buckley aiming to recover from hamstring trouble in time for Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth (12.15pm).

March’s development squad team-mate Barker joined Newport County on loan on Friday until January 1. The striker made his debut for the League Two Welshmen as a late substitute in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Cheltenham.
