Craig Conway has praised the pass which set up his first goal for Albion.

But he admitted he feared David Lopez had left it too late to play the killer ball.

Conway scored the second goal as the Seagulls beat leaders Leicester 3-1.

David took his time while fans demanded he send the ball forward quickly for Conway or Ashley Barnes.

Instead, he picked his moment perfectly and sent Conway in on goal.

Conway said: “It was almost slow motion.

“I thought he had left it too late but he timed it perfectly.

“It’s a great ball, it kind of hit my shoulder inside and it bounced pretty well for me to hit first time.

“I saw the keeper coming out and I knew where I was putting it straight away.”

Conway was delighted to help Albion bounce back from defeat by Barnsley.

He added: “Getting the first goal (by Ashley Barnes) pretty early really helped us and I thought after that there was a 20 or 25-minute spell when we were outstasnding.

“After the disappointing Tuesday, when we played poorly, it was good to bounce back straight away and get three points.”
