Boss John Gregory is considering taking a look at free agents in a bid to boost Crawley’s firepower.

Reds are only allowed to sign out-of-contract players until the transfer window reopens in January but Gregory is aware of the need to act fast having scored only one goal in their last five games.

Gregory said: “I’ve got loads of agents who want us to have a look at certain people and the door to the training ground is open for anybody who comes recommended. I’m not turning my back on anything at the moment.”

One intriguing possibility would be a reunion with former England striker Darius Vassell who played under Gregory at Aston Villa. Vassell, 33, was released by Leicester in June 2012.
