Middlesbrough have been handed a blow in the run-up to their clash with Albion.
Striker Kei Kamara has been ruled out for the festive period by a knee injury.
Kamara, who shone for Kansas City in MLS this year, was expected to start against the Seagulls.
Lukas Jutkiewicz and Marvin Emnes are also among Boro’s options in attack.
