Albion were held to a 0-0 draw by Huddersfield on an afternoon of frustration at The Amex.

The Seagulls dominated the second period in particular against a result Town side.

But two moments involving Ashley Barnes summed up their afternoon.

The striker saw the ball bounce off him and over a gaping goal as he followed up when Alex Smithies parried a Kemy Agustien header after David Lopez had crossed.

Another pinpoint delivery from the Spaniard teed up Barnes coming in from beyond the far post. But, as home fans rose to celebrate, his header went wide.

Barnes also saw a first-half header – which seemed to deflect off James Vaughan - hacked off the line by Martin Paterson.

Vaughan felt he should have had a first-half penalty for a shove in his back by Adam El-Abd.
