Albion could renew their interest in Jonathan Obika as striker back-up during the January transfer window.
Obika made his comeback from injury for Spurs yesterday in a 2-2 friendly draw at home to the Seagulls' development team.
Albion wanted to borrow Obika, 23, earlier in the season, but his injury wrecked the deal.
Leroy Lita's loan from Swansea ends on January 1 and long-term ankle victim Craig Mackail-Smith remains some way off a return to action.
That leaves the Seagulls short of cover for fit-again Leo Ulloa and Ashley Barnes.
Shamir Goodwin and Emil Asmundsson twice put Albion ahead in the first half against Spurs. Obika set up an equaliser for Darren McQueen and Ruben Lameiras levelled four minutes from time.
